Rudrapur women workers protest delayed kits as labour officials promise distribution within a week
Women workers from several Rudrapur neighbourhoods staged a protest at the Deputy Labour Commissioner’s office over delays in receiving kits under a government scheme. They said repeated visits were costing them daily wages. Labour officials held talks with the protesters and assured them that kits would be distributed to all eligible women workers within one week.
