The Delhi entry restriction on BS-4 and older diesel vehicles will suspend Haldwani depot’s air-conditioned Janrath service from Sunday until further orders. Kathgodam depot will also withdraw another bus, adding to 5 services already stopped and creating fresh difficulties for passengers travelling between Kumaon and Delhi.

A car fell into a 150-metre-deep ditch near Lamjala village in Haldwani’s Kathgodam Kotwali area late on 21 October while it was being reversed. Local residents and a rescue team pulled the driver and passenger out. Police said both sustained injuries, received first aid and were later discharged from hospital.
