Uttarakhand bans gutkha, pan masala and nicotine food products across state for one year
Uttarakhand’s Food Safety and Drug Administration has prohibited the manufacture, storage, distribution and sale of gutkha, pan masala and other food products containing tobacco or nicotine for one year. The order applies across the state and also covers products sold separately for later mixing, placing enforcement responsibility on district and food safety officials.
