Gairsain marchers stopped across Almora’s Chaukutia, triggering clashes and travel disruptions
Police stopped members of the Congress, Uttarakhand Kranti Dal and the Gram Pradhan organisation as they travelled towards Gairsain during the Assembly session. Congress workers exchanged heated words with officers in Chaukutia, while village heads were briefly detained. Police deployment and road restrictions also disrupted movement for passengers and local residents.
