Uttarkashi’s Gaumukh trek closed indefinitely as snowfall raises avalanche risk and damages route
The Gangotri National Park has temporarily stopped access to the Gaumukh trek after heavy snowfall created an avalanche threat and damaged parts of the route. 7 trekkers stranded in the Bhojbasa and Tapovan areas have been contacted and are safe, while officials are working to bring them back to Gangotri.
