Uttarakhand raises Param Vir Chakra families’ ex-gratia aid from ₹50 lakh to ₹2 crore
The Uttarakhand government has decided to increase the ex-gratia assistance for families of soldiers awarded the Param Vir Chakra from ₹50 lakh to ₹2 crore. The government described the decision as recognition of the courage and supreme sacrifice of soldiers from the state who gave their lives defending the country.
