Ranipokhari senior citizen loses 27.60 lakh rupees after fake police ‘digital arrest’ threat
A senior citizen from Barkot Mafi in Ranipokhari allegedly transferred 27.60 lakh rupees after cyber fraudsters accused him of illegal transactions and threatened a fabricated arrest. The Dehradun Cyber Crime Police have registered a case, while bank employees stopped a further transfer of 10 lakh rupees and alerted authorities.
