Udhamsinghnagar farmers protest in Rudrapur, seek disaster status and 50,000 rupees per acre
Farmers from Udhamsinghnagar district demonstrated at the Rudrapur collectorate after unseasonal rain and hail damaged paddy crops. They submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister, seeking disaster-hit status for Bajpur and Gadarpur tehsils, compensation of 50,000 rupees per acre and the start of procurement through raw commission agents.
