Uttarakhand State Commission caps car insurance compensation at the declared insured value
The Uttarakhand State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has modified a Udham Singh Nagar district order after finding that compensation for a damaged vehicle cannot exceed its declared insured value. The case involved a Kashipur resident whose Ford Figo was destroyed in a 2016 accident after his insurance claim was rejected.
