Open bags containing surgical waste have reportedly been left beneath a ramp at Bageshwar district hospital, while the area outside the emergency department remains uncleaned. The waste has created a foul smell and raised concerns for patients, attendants and staff. Hospital officials say 2 new pits are being built at Kholi for safer disposal.
