The body of 35-year-old Prakash Chandra Arya, a resident of Bindukhatta, was found near a sugar mill in Kichha after he had been missing for 2 days. Relatives reached the site and identified him. Police have begun required procedures and are investigating the cause of death.
Haldwani
Residents of Bindukhatta are preparing a rally and sit-in in Lalkuan on 27 September, seeking revenue-village recognition and a permanent embankment along the Gola River. The campaign follows a foot march that began on 15 August. Organisers expect between 10 and 20 thousand people to participate in the proposed demonstration.
