Food safety teams inspected 6 shops, collected 2 sweet samples and issued notices to 2 bakeries. In Bazpur, 11 sweet sellers also received notices during a separate festival-season checking campaign.

Police recovered the body of an unidentified man from beside a canal along the Shaukan Nagla road in Tanda Azam village, Bazpur, on Monday. The body was sent to Bazpur hospital after formal proceedings, while officers contact nearby villages and police stations to establish his identity and determine the cause of death.
Rudrapur
A joint forest department team was attacked during a late-night raid at a warehouse in Bazpur’s Pahadi Colony, where officials suspected illegal storage of teak and khair wood. Forest sub-inspector Surendra Singh suffered head and hand injuries, while the alleged attackers fled after police reached the scene. Authorities said his condition was out of danger.
