A 63-year-old resident of Haridwar’s Sidcul police station area and his wife reported unauthorised withdrawals of 99-99 thousand rupees from their separate bank accounts. Police have registered a case against unidentified accused persons and are examining the transactions, including a transfer linked to a Punjab National Bank account in Gurugram.

The caller allegedly demanded special treatment for inmate Sheela and warned jail officials of serious consequences.
